Fruitful Affair - In Words

Civilization is the work of evolution and as such, generations of humanity will continue to build on each others’ establishments as they have done over centuries. Among the many philosophical building blocks of a sustainable society are customs and norms that such societies setup as morals to guide them as they govern themselves. After all among the fundamental characteristics that distinguish humans from other creatures is the ability to discern between right and wrong. It then becomes necessary to setup systems that enforce accepted norms by turning them into rules and then laws.

Our ancestors used parables as verbal illustrations to make it easier for their offspring to learn their customs and to subsequently pass them on to future generations. They emphasized the importance of acceptable behaviors in their respective societies and the consequences of not complying with them.

‘Fruitful Affair’ is only a brief visual commentary on verbal illustration found throughout humanity’s oral history. It is not intended to open up dialogue or debate on morality. Its sole purpose is to salute the wisdom and foresight with which our ancestors built the various continuum organizations that make up human society.

What better way to put it than to cite the universal adage; ‘you reap what you sow’ whose philosophical implications go profoundly deeper than the shallow holes in which literal seeds are sown in actual soil.
