Passage
To Tradition - In Words
A
tradition is formed when an event turns out to be memorable enough for the
participants to want to do it again regularly! In many cases the tradition
gets to be passed down generations particularly when the later generations
don’t come up with ideas of their own to replace the existing ones.
In this enchanting dramatization, stylized characters capture the
illusion of the path that may lead to a tradition. Vividly glowing auras intensified
by rapid limb movements suggest the frequency of use needed to crystallize
a path into a passage. The
child represents posterity that follow into the footsteps of earlier
generations as if marching to a rendezvous with destiny.
Society is better off without
some traditions, however, ideas that could lead
to new, more worthwhile traditions should be encouraged and harnessed for humanity to
cross
new frontiers and expand the scope of our horizons.
"Do not go where
the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a
trail." Ralph Waldo Emerson
